Week 12: Art can be Sustainable?
Art can defenitly be sustainable. During these times artist are finding new ways to be creative. My idea was using the medium of photography. Since we can take walks outside I decided to take some photos to document my walk. Here they are!
What was your idea?
My ideas for this assigment was making art by avoiding throwing away my art piece. I also realized all my miscellaneous items were thrown away due to spring cleaning at my apartment. So I wante to create art with zero waste. I wanted to capture the stillness of the world outside when allowed. I wanted to capture a soft and
What materials did you choose?
The materials I used were my phone camera and this dispoable camera app. The disposable camera app works like a real disposable camera. I love talking film photos, but since we in a pandemic I am limted to that. So this apps allows you to take photos and they develop at 9am the next day.

Do you think your piece was able to express your idea?
I did capture a vintage feel to my photos that shows the stillness of the world. The colors of the photos looked great and the disposable app gave it more depth.
How did your choice of materials influence the experience of your artwork?
I knew I wanted to create something with zero waste. So the first thing I thought of was pictures on my phone. There were no excess materials used for this project. I know I will appreciate these photos for a good time. They all came out great.
How long should a kiss last?
If it’s memorable a kiss should last forever!
How long should a great meal last?
A great meal should last as long as it takes you to eat it. Then you can go back to get more whenever you please.
How long should a work of art last?
A work of art can last forever as well. It’s captures a specific moment in time. This work art can be in museumes or in homes for generations of people to see.
How long should a marriage last?
A marriage should also last a lifetime as the two people trust and love each other in union.
How long should a human life last?
A human life should last as long as possible. I want to live for as long as I can to explore the world, enjoy life’s moments, and appreaciate the earth.
Does the fact that some things, like ephemeral artworks and human lives, have a finite time and then are gone make a difference in the way we experience them?
These types of things defenitifly have an effect on how we experience them. Things that have finite time are valued more. We tend to spend more time with these things and appreciate it’s existence. We are careful not to get rid of them too early so we can experience them in full.
Should other things, like clean water, air, and land be sustainable and long lasting?
These things can be sustainable and long lasting. Moving forward I would love to see a world where these things become a priority and we find ways to make the sustainable and help the planet.
Can one person, like you, make a difference in a global problem like Climate Change?
One person like me can make a difference. It’s small things that go a long way. I stopped using single use plastice water bottles and now use a resusable bottle. When going out to eat or in public I try to be mindul of my waste and pick up some trash that wasn’t thrown away. I also try to donate to organization that help the planet.
