Week 2: Idea 2
Finger Painting Activity

What was the experience like?
This experience was honestly cool. In pervious art classes I have always had some sort of structure or guidelines to follow. I believe this my first assignement without any rules. So I was as creative as I wanted to be.
Was it easier, harder, or different than you expected?
It was hard in the begining because I wanted to start but didn’t know how. There was freedom but I had to think about what colors I wanted and where to start. After a minute of thinking I just ended grapping whatever colors and went with what I felt.
How was the experience of making a painting with no subject? Confusing & Frustrating? Liberating & Inspiring?
The expereince with painting no subject was great. It made happy because there was no structure to be creative. I did whatever I felt like doing. It was liberating and freeing. I had full control of whatever I wanted to paint.
How does this compare to other paintings you have seen?
This looks somewhat similar to paintings I have seen in museums. Especially the splatter paint with multiple colors. After I hung the painting, I took a step back from it and it looked cool on my living room wall. Hanging it up felt like I was hanging it in an art museum.
